The Region 14 Music Foundation, Inc. is saddened by the passing of our dear friend and member of our Advisory Board, Joe Beck. Joe was a major contributor to the musical life of Region 14. In 2003 Joe served as the Artist in Residence for Region14 schools. He also served as advisor to the Guitar Club at Nonnewaug High School. Joe was a guitarist, composer, arranger and producer working with luminaries in the field of Jazz and Pop music over the last 45 years. Most notable in his career were his affiliations with Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra and Paul Simon among hundreds of other artists. Read an interview about Joe’s experience with Miles Davis at
